Never underestimate age and experience, Keepers. Especially when they're clothed in the robes of a Warlock, encountered in an enemy's dungeon, hurling fireballs in your direction!

A ranged combatant that is able to lob fireballs over Walls and other obstacles, Warlocks themselves have fairly low HP, so they're a bit "glass cannon", in concept. Possessing average movement speed, Warlocks are somewhat susceptible to Poison damage... but given their overall low HP, it doesn't take much to lay them low!

(As we've discussed in previous articles, fire damage is particularly devastating to Trolls, so keep that in mind!)

To begin recruiting Warlocks to your cause, you simply need to build a Dark Library (see our recent feature article, just prior to this one!). Upgrading Warlocks improves their HP and damage, and brings about some visual changes, as well.

Strategically, Warlocks are really good at creating forward deploy points safely hidden behind a wall, and/or being able to destroy rooms without damaging other Minions.

Warklock range is 3 tiles.

You can attack rooms separeted by 2 blocks of rock.
With diagonals you can only attack rooms separeted by 1 block of rock.

Are there any changes to warlock range? My warlocks passed by a perfectly good target without attacking it, located behind just one diagonal square.

They are essentially lil old men and with their great age, come age related problems, arthritis, incontinence and bad eyesight. They cant see a corner of a room, but the full side is a blurry out of focus target they can hit.

Minions of the same type will travel in packs, as long as they're within roughly one rom of each other. If you drop another of the same type, it will go with the pack. This can be avoided by delaying about 20 seconds before dropping another warlock - it will then start a new "pack" and target the closest building rather than what the others are hitting.
