I'd like to take a few minutes and address everyone to fill them in on how Dungeon Keeper is tracking.
The game has taken a number of turns both up and down, but for the last several months’ things appear to have settled and we look like we've stabilized. So, what does this mean for DK? In short, this means we can maintain continued development.
To give more transparency on the inner-workings of the team, the DK team has been working with a reduced number of resources for the past 6 months. This is the reason why many of the bugs that are reported go unaddressed. However, this is not to say that we do not have access to additional resources from time to time. Quite the contrary, the studio works on a number of different projects, each of which have a varying number of devs supporting them (myself included), and we can allocate them for some much needed DK love every so often.
In the recent months, I put together a plan for TU7 which was approved and we've been hard at work on it ever since. This will hopefully roll out soon, but I'm hesitant to put a date on it just yet since so many things can delay it. Once we are further along the testing schedule I'll post the patch notes so everyone can prepare for it accordingly.
I would also like to let everyone know that while we do not have all of the resources to make our ideal changes and new features on the project, you will always have me, and I will continue to focus on the best possible new initiatives so that Dungeon Keeper players may always look forward to new content.
TL; DR - DK has stabilized and I’ll continue to support it wherever I can, keeping you Keepers raiding!
