It's most probably because you're fighting against weaker opponents.
I've Won/lost up to 20 trophy points when closely matched in DCR.
Remember that a 1 star victory is 1/3 of the trophies normally awarded, and a defensive victory counts as a 3-star victory.
You also get more trophies for winning defensively against a stronger opponent, and lose less when losing against the same.

This Hotfix is strange...

Win with 2 Stars = 1 Trophy
Lose = ~ -8

Really strange and it makes no fun.

Yeah, you would have a better idea of what was coming if you were showed a measure of what strength the dungeon was at.

I akt 2300 dungeons too with the same result.

I need round 10 wins to hold my rank if i log off.

So the result is i fall down.

A 1/8 rate make no fun if you need 45 min to get a new army.

One quick fix. Modify your army so that it doesn't take that long to summon.

I have a different armies with the 75% summoning reduction, my default army for long raid session, and my army for when I log of and summon for the 1st raid of my next login (yeah this one with full mana is the most badass! A good ego boost as a first of a series of raid).

There's a bunch of math going on in the background, but in an effort to simply the explanation:

When matched against an opponent, both Attacker and Defender will have a value that is calculated by factoring in trophy count, in addition to what MWyatt previously referred to as Dungeon Composition Rating (DCR), which is an indication of how far a dungeon has been progressed (Rooms built, upgrades, Minions, trained, Spells, etc.)

These values then help us reach an overall relative understanding of how Attacker and Defender measure up to one another. This will then govern trophy rewards and losses; there will be less gain from defeating someone who is considerably weaker, and more to lose when losing against an attacker that is considerably weaker. Conversely, more to gain from defeating someone who is stronger, and less to lose when defending against an attacker who is stronger.

Again, this is a fairly basic explanation; there's more to it, mathematically-speaking... but hopefully that helps.

Also, in a future update (not #3, but hopefully #4) there's going to be system in place that will advise a would-be attacker about what they stand to gain if they were to attack (and win against) their current offered opponent.

A bit esoteric... and I think possibly there may be some errors in that algorithm.. ( not to insult ) but, thanks for the clarification..
